Sumter Walmart manager charged in refund fraud
A senior manager at the Sumter Walmart was charged Wednesday in a scheme involving fake returns of merchandise worth more than $10,000.
Stewart Jerome Cribb, 42, was the asset protection manager for the Walmart Supercenter located at 1283 Broad St in Sumter.
An investigation, which continues, was launched after the loss of funds was discovered, the Sumter Police Department said in a news release.
Cribb was being held at the Lee Sumter Detention Center.
