2 Columbia homes burned in early Friday morning fire
Columbia Fire crews responded to a fire at a small, vacant home on Peachwood Drive early Friday morning.
Crews responded to a fire at a small home that was already burned to the ground around 2:45 a.m. Friday morning, according to department spokesman Brick Lewis. A secondary exposure to another home had also started.
The primary home was a complete loss, and the second home was under renovations and unoccupied at the time, Lewis said. Damage to the second home are approximately $8,000.
No injuries were reported, and the Richland County Fire Marshals’ Office is investigating, Lewis said.
