Man shot at Eastover BBQ Festival

EASTOVER, SC The Richland County Sheriff’s Department sought the public’s help Thursday in identifying the man responsible for shooting a man at the Eastover BBQ Festival on May 2.

The shooting on the 500 block of Main Street developed from a verbal altercation between the shooter and victim around 9:30 Saturday night, Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott said.

The suspect shot the victim “multiple times in the upper body,” and then fled in a 4-door burgundy Dodge Dakota pickup truck, Lott said.

The victim was taken to Palmetto Health Richland Hospital. His condition is not known.
