18-year-old charged with murder after argument turns to shooting in Richland County
One person was killed after an argument led to a shooting in Richland County on Friday night.
The shooting happened around 8:30 p.m. in the 500 block of Calvary Drive, off Fairfield Road north of Columbia, according to the Richland County Sheriff's Department.
Drevon Michael Payne, 18, is charged with murder, deputies say.
Deputies say Payne and the victim were arguing when Payne shot the victim, who died as a result of the gunshot. Payne was arrested shortly after the shooting.
