Woman sneaks meth to SC inmate in a body cavity, prison police say

A woman was arrested in Spartanburg County Sunday after trying to sneak methamphetamine into a South Carolina prison by putting it in her vagina, according to a S.C. Department of Corrections statement.

Christy Curtis tried to bring 80 grams of the drug into Tyger River Correctional Institution, according to the statement.

The meth was separated into three plastic baggies, which she gave to a prisoner, according to an arrest warrant.

She was visiting an inmate at the prison when she was arrested, according to the statement. She had be conspiring with an inmate to bring the drugs in.

Curtis was charged with attempting to furnish a prisoner with contraband, conspiracy and trafficking methamphetamine.
