Burglar uses rock to break into Lowe’s, Richland County deputies say

A man broke into a Lowe’s in Richland County Saturday by throwing a rock through a window, according to a sheriff’s department statement.

The man, who was driving a beige truck, pulled up to the store on Two Notch Road at about 3 a.m., according to the statement.

He got out of the car and tossed a rock into the window, breaking it, according to the statement. The suspected burglar made his way into the store, taking a Simpson pressure washer and two DeWalt drill sets.

All in all, the stolen items are valued at $1,327, according to the statement.

The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is asking anyone with information to contact Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
