Body found in pond in northeast Columbia neighborhood
Columbia police found a dead body in a pond in a northeast Columbia neighborhood Saturday afternoon.
The body was discovered shortly before 1 p.m. in a pond off Kimpton Drive, according to the Columbia Police Department.
Police say, at this time, they do not suspect foul play is connected to the death.
The body has not yet been identified.
Additional details were not immediately provided by police.
The Richland County Sheriff’s Department and Columbia Police Department are investigating.
