Moped driver had a chocolate drink bottle filled with drugs, SC cops say
A woman pulled over for faulty equipment on her moped had a chocolate-drink bottle filled with drugs, according to police.
Springdale officers pulled the woman over for an equipment violation on the 2800 block of Platt Springs Road, according to a post on the Springdale Police Department’s Facebook page. The driver, identified as Elizabeth Waddell, gave officers permission to search her moped.
On the vehicle, officers found six grams of methamphetamine, marijuana that was packaged for distribution, pills, a scale and a pipe used to smoke meth, the post reads. The drugs were hidden in the bottle for a chocolate drink.
Waddell faces charges for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of a schedule IV narcotic and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to police. Because the stop happened less than half a mile from the town’s park, she also is charged with possession with intent to distribute narcotics within proximity to a park.
A booking photo for Waddell was not available.
