Three men were arrested after robbing a man at gunpoint, according to a statement from the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.
Louis Anderson, 43; Xavier Anderson, 27; and Tyrone Cooper, 28, were all charged with robbery and kidnapping, according to the statement.
Deputies say the trio were driving August 11 at about 8:30 a.m. when they approached a man in another car on the 1800 block of Morninglo Lane, according to the statement. One of the men asked the lone man for directions.
Another of the trio got out of the car with a shot gun and told the other driver to get on the ground, according to the statement. When he did, the trio took his phone, as well as two others in the car.
Louis Anderson, Xavier Anderson and Cooper tried to take his car as well, but the man didn’t have the keys with him, according to the statement.
Cooper and the Andersons ran from the scene, according to the statement.
The trio was being held at Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center Tuesday.
