Richland County deputies arrested a wanted fugitive Thursday after he spent more than two months on the run, according to a statement from the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.

Najjar Infinity Faustin, 24, was arrested at about 10:30 a.m. at the R&R Lounge on Decker Boulevard after deputies said he assaulted a woman in her home, according to the statement.

Faustin entered a woman’s home on June 11, according to the statement. He hit her, and when she tried to leave, he hit her again, according to the statement.

He kept her from leaving the home on the 7500 block of Hunt Club road, according to a previous statement from the sheriff’s department.

Deputies began searching for him after the incident and soon located him thanks to a tip submitted to Crimestoppers.

The former fugitive was charged with assault and battery, kidnapping and domestic violence, according to the statement. After his arrest, he was taken to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
