Bicyclist dead after hit-and-run in Gaston, troopers say
One person is dead after being hit by a car while riding a bike near South Main and Sprahler streets in Gaston, Lance Cpl. David Jones of the S.C. Highway Patrol said.
The crash happened just before 6 a.m., Jones said.
After hitting the bicyclist, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene, Jones said. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
The bicyclist has yet to be identified.
