Five people were injured in a shooting New Year’s Day at a lounge in Richland County.

Around 6:23 a.m., police were alerted to a shooting at Faces Lounge on the 1700 block of Decker Boulevard. Three women and two men were injured. All have been transported to the hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening, according to a Richland County Sheriff’s Department spokesperson.

Police blocked off the area around Faces Lounge, and also the area around a nearby Hardee’s, where some victims fled to after the shooting.

There is no named suspect at this time, police say, but there is a person of interest. The investigation is ongoing.
