A South Carolina man died Thursday, weeks after being involved in a multi-vehicle crash in Richland County, according to a statement from the local coroner.

Johnathan Randall Clegg, 28, of McCormick, was driving on I-20 West near the Fairfield Road exit Jan. 8 when he was involved in the crash.

Clegg was rushed to Prisma Health Richland Memorial Hospital, where he died Thursday at about 2:45 p.m., according to the statement. An autopsy showed his cause of death was due to head injuries sustained in the crash.
