Lexington police resolve negotiations with man barricaded in at Sunset Boulevard business
Lexington Police have resolved negotiations with a man who barricaded himself in at a busines in the 4800 block of Sunset Boulevard.
“The incident is now over without incident, and the subject is being transported to the hospital for evaluation by EMS,” according to a tweet by the department.
The incident began around 10 a.m. Thursday when officers were called to a welfare check, according to Lt. Carroll Bledsoe, a Lexington Police Department spokesman.
Officers began negotiating with a man who had barricaded himself in at a business on Sunset Boulevard, Lt. Bledsoe said.

“We have an active barricaded subject situation,” Lt. Bledsoe said. “We were called to do a welfare check on the man, and it turned into a situation where he refused to come out and cooperate with us.”
We are negotiating with him to cooperate with us, Bledsoe said.
