Lexington County man charged after convenience store shooting, deputies say

A Gaston man was charged after a shooting outside a Lexington County convenience store Sunday night, according to a statement from the local sheriff’s department.

Jaquan Tomarsh Mack, 23, is facing charges of attempted murder, discharging a weapon into a vehicle and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Deputies believe Mack got in a fight with someone outside of a convenience store on Highway 321, according to the statement. Mack got into a car and was riding away when he allegedly shot at another car.

Two people were in the other car, according to the statement. They drove away from the store.

Neither were life-threateningly injured, according to the statement.

Mack was arrested and taken to the Lexington County Detention Center.
