Columbia woman dies after car crashes into tree, Richland County coroner says

A Columbia woman died Thursday after being involved in a single car crash, according to a statement from the Richland County Coroner.

Barbara Shealy Munro, 75, was in the car when the driver ran off the road and hit a tree on the 400 block of Longtown Road in Columbia, according to the statement.

Munro, who was in the front passenger seat, died at the scene of the crash of her injuries, according to the statement.

The S.C. Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
