Man injured during early-morning shooting in Richland County

Richland County deputies were called out to a shooting early Monday morning, according to a statement from the sheriff’s department.

Deputies were called at 12:30 a.m. to reports of shots in the 500 block of South Summers Way, according to the statement.

When they arrived, they found a man who had been shot in the upper body. EMS took the man to a nearby hospital.

It is unclear what condition the man is in.
