Aiken County armed robbery suspect arrested in Batesburg-Leesville

A man wanted in connection with the armed robbery of a Days Inn in Aiken County has been arrested in Batesburg-Leesville.

Michael Alan Turner, 55, was arrested Friday afternoon at a Circle K on Old Indian Trail Road in Batesburg-Leesville, according to Captain Eric Abdullah, a spokesman with the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office.

Turner, who has been charged with armed robbery, will be taken to the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center, Captain Abdullah said.

Turner is accused of committing an armed robbery at an Aiken County Days Inn on Thursday, Abdullah said. Tuner is also suspected of committing another armed robbery in the North Augusta City limits on Thursday.
