Coroner releases name of person found dead behind Forest Drive restaurant
Authorities released the name of a person who they found dead behind a Forest Drive restaurant.
Richland County Coroner Gary Watts said Charles Arthur Crane was found yesterday behind San Jose Mexican restaurant at 5417 Forest Drive.
Crane was 35 years old and came from Pensacola, Florida, according to the coroner’s office. His body was found around 9:10 a.m., Watts said in a statement.
An autopsy showed Crane died from blunt force injuries.
The Richland County Coroner’s Office and the Columbia Police Department are investigating.
