Man charged with fatal stabbing of his great aunt
ORANGEBURG, SC Family members told investigators that Isaiah Veazey moved from the nation’s capitol in May to live with his great aunt in Orangeburg.
Around 9 am Tuesday, a caller told Orangeburg County 911 dispatch that a woman had been stabbed multiple times. Isaiah Veazey, 25, was standing on the front porch of the house he now shared with his great aunt, 74-year-old Delores Dash, when deputies arrived, sheriff Leroy Ravenell said in a press release. He was still on the phone with 911.
Dash’s body was found in a bedroom, wrapped in bed sheets. She had been stabbed multiple times.
Ravenell said Veazey admitted stabbing his great aunt about an hour before calling 911. An investigation continues to determine why.
Veazey was to be arraigned on the charge of murder Wednesday afternoon.
