Burglary spree hits Northeast Columbia. Can you help police ID this person?

Neighborhoods in Northeast Columbia were targeted for eight burglaries in the past few weeks, according Richland County Sheriff’s Department.

The sheriff’s department released an image captured on a home security camera of a person of interest in connection with the burglaries.

An unknown number of burglars kicked in doors and rummaged through homes for small electronics and video game systems in communities north of Sparkleberry Road, police said. The area is between Two Notch and Clemson Road near the Interstate 20 intersection. The break-ins happened in neighborhoods near Spring Valley High School.

Homes in the Woodlands neighborhood and around Woodlands Country Club were robbed as well as houses in Chimneyridge, Windmill Orchid and Woodland Greens.

Deputies said the burglaries happened at:

  • the 400 block of North Donar Drive
  • a house on Freya Court, twice
  • the 300 block of Wotan Road
  • the 200 block of Huntcliff Drive
  • two home on the 200 block of Chimneyridge Drive
  • the 300 block of Thornridge Road

The department asked anyone who can identify the person or has information related to the burglaries to call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-Crime-SC.
