SC man shot to death in apartment Sunday morning; investigation underway, cops say
A South Carolina man was killed in a Sunday morning shooting, and the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office said it has launched an investigation.
Sheriff’s deputies received a call about a domestic incident and responded to an apartment, Greenville County Coroner B. Parks Evans Jr. said in a news release.
Deputies found a man who suffered “at least one gunshot wound,” the Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
The man, identified as Joshua Jackson, 32, was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after 12:15 p.m., the Coroner’s Office said in a news release. The coroner said the shooting occurred at 6:30 a.m., according to the release.
No suspects have been charged, the Sheriff’s Office said, but “there is no threat to the community,” according to the news release.
An autopsy is scheduled for Jackson on Monday, according to the Coroner’s Office, which is investigating the death with the Sheriff’s Office.
