High speed chase ends in crash on Interstate 26 in Lexington County

Lexington County Deputies responded this morning after a high speed chase ended in a crash in their area, according to Tweets from the sheriff’s department.

One person was injured after the Friday morning chase, according to a Tweet.

S.C. Highway Patrol Troopers were giving chase to a car across the county. The driver crashed on Interstate 26 in the westbound lane between Piney Grove Road and Saint Andrews Road.

No lanes were blocked in the crash, according to the S.C. Department of Transportation. Still, deputies say drivers should expect delays.

One person was injured in the crash and had to be taken to an area hospital for treatment, according to a Tweet. The driver of the vehicle was arrested.
