Missing 11-year-old girl who just moved to West Columbia found safe, cops say
UPDATE: Ashley Lopez was found and is safe, according to the West Columbia Police Department.

A search is underway for a missing 11-year-old girl, the West Columbia Police Department said Sunday.
Police have asked for the community’s help in finding Ashley Lopez, according to a post on the department’s Facebook page.
Ashley was last seen on Saturday, police said.
She could be on her way toward — or already in — Charlotte, where Ashley has ties, according to the post. Ashley’s family only moved to South Carolina in the past week.
Police described Ashley as a 5-foot-4, 150-pound girl with long black curly hair, and brown eyes.
She was last seen wearing a pink shirt, black leggings and sandals, and might be carrying a black trash bag with other possessions, including white shoes and a purple jacket, according to the post.
Anyone with information about Ashley, or if they have any contact with her, is asked to call police at 803-794-0721, or 911, or report it to CrimeStoppers at 888-CRIME-SC or submit an online tip.
