A search is underway for a man who sexually assaulted a teenage girl, the Richland County Sheriff’s Department said Wednesday.

On Dec. 7, 2019, Charles Eugene McKnight forced himself on a 13-year-old girl, the sheriff’s department said in a news release.

McKnight grabbed the teen “and put his hand down her pants with the intent to arouse himself,” according to the release.

He’s facing a charge of third-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor, the sheriff’s department said.
