Police ask for help in search for missing woman last seen in West Columbia

A search is underway for a missing woman last seen in Lexington County, the West Columbia Police Department said Thursday.

Margaret Glover was reported missing by her family Wednesday, Assistant Chief of Police Scott Morrison told The State.

Police did not say if Glover was last seen at her home.

The 53-year-old woman was last seen Saturday on Glenn Street, according to police. That’s near the intersection of Airport Boulevard and Charleston Highway (U.S. 321), about four miles from Columbia.

Police described Glover as a 5-foot-6, 200-pound woman with black hair and brown eyes.

Morrison said there’s no word if Glover is considered in danger, or if she was seen with anyone before she went missing.

Investigators haven’t said if there was any evidence of a crime at Glover’s home.

There is no information on where Glover might have gone, or if she was using a vehicle.

Police are asking for the community’s help finding Glover. Anyone with any information is asked to call the police at at 803-794-0721, or report it to CrimeStoppers at 888-CRIME-SC or submit an online tip.
