Chop shop bust in Sumter County

SUMTER, SC Sumter County deputies raided a Salterstown address near East Sumter Tuesday looking for a motorcycle reported stolen earlier in the day.

Investigators found the motorcycle “already disassembled, as well as various parts from numerous other motorcycles that investigators believe might be stolen, as well,” said sheriff department spokesman Braden Bunch.

Frederick Galloway, 38, his wife, 40-year-old Tawania Galloway, and step-daughter, 24-year-old Kionna Rhabb, have been charged with violating SC’s chop shop law. They were being held at the Sumter-Lee Detention Center Tuesday night.

More arrests may follow, Bunch said.
