2 women accused of stealing items from cars in Richland County gym parking lot

Richland County deputies are looking for two women accused of taking car keys from several lockers at a local gym then stealing items from vehicles in the parking lot.

The two women entered the Planet Fitness at 9714 Two Notch Road around 9 a.m. May 28 and told the clerk they had left some items in the locker room from earlier, Sheriff Leon Lott said. The women asked if they could go into the locker room to get those items.

The women then opened several lockers and stole car keys belonging to two people, Lott said. The suspects then used the keys to unlock vehicles in the parking lot and stole purses and credit cards from both people.
