Gaston man gets 6+ years in prison for trafficking fake ED drugs
A Gaston man was sentenced to 6 1/2 years in federal prison Thursday for trafficking counterfeit medications and other goods.
Arthur Fleming Moler, 51, sold and shipped more than 5 million dollars worth of counterfeit drugs, including bogus erectile dysfunction medications Viagra and Cialis, from a Shop Road warehouse, US Attorney Bill Nettles said in a news release.
When agents from federal and state agencies raided South Carolina Liquidations at 1215 Shop Road, they found a warehouse full of counterfeit goods such as designer handbags, sunglasses, electronics equipment, and more than 230,000 erectile dysfuction pills, Nettles said
Following his conviction in December 2014, Moler could have been sentenced to 20 years in prison and a fine of $2 million.
