One hospitalized following shooting in Lexington County, deputies say
One person was injured following a Sunday afternoon shooting in Lexington County, deputies said.
The shooting happened near the intersection of Fox Crossing Road and Kitti Wake Drive at about noon Sunday, according to a news release from the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department. That’s just across the street from Kittiwake Baptist Church. One person was injured and transported to the hospital, the release said.
Deputies do not believe the shooter is an ongoing threat to public safety, and that the shooting was an isolated incident, according to the release.
