Gaston police investigating ‘possible hit and run death’ near Highway 321

The Lexington County Coroner has identified the person found dead near the intersection of Highway 321 and Woodtrail in Gaston.

John Denley Moore Jr., 18, of Gaston died at the scene from multiple body trauma, according to Coroner Margaret Fisher. The Gaston Police Department is investigating the death as a possible hit and run accident.

The accident happened around 6 a.m. Tuesday morning, Fisher said.
