Two men hospitalized after shooting at Columbia apartment complex, police say
Two men were hurt in an overnight shooting at an apartment complex, according to the Columbia Police Department.
It was after 9 p.m. Tuesday when police reported the shooting at 511 Alcott Drive. That’s the Willow Run apartment complex off U.S. 321/Fairfield Road, near Exit 70 on Interstate 20.
Police said the men did not suffer life-threatening injuries, and officers are in touch with doctors treating the shooting victims. Further information on the men’s conditions was not available.
No other injuries were reported.
There is no word on a shooter, or shooters, or a motive for the gunfire. Police did not say if this is considered an isolated incident, or if there’s an ongoing threat to the community.
No arrests have been reported by police, who continue to investigate the shooting, and have found evidence at the scene.
