Shoplifting charge filed against Upstate man is dropped, records show

An Upstate pastor has been accused of shoplifting.

A shoplifting charge has been dropped against an Upstate man, according to court records.

The man was charged Wednesday with shoplifting.

SLED said that on July 21, the man was caught on video stealing over $100 worth of merchandise from the Palmetto State Armory in Greenville.

The man, 63, was arrested on Oct. 5 and was booked at the Greenville County Detention Center. The case was handled by the 13th Circuit Solicitor’s Office, according to the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division.

The charge was dropped in March.

The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office had requested that SLED investigate, according to a statement.
