Columbia police investigate fatal late-night shooting in north Columbia neighborhood

The Columbia Police Department is investigating a homicide in north Columbia.

An unidentified man was shot and killed around midnight Wednesday on the 1300 block of Sycamore Avenue, according to the Columbia Police Department.

Officers were dispatched at 12:30 a.m. Thursday according to a police department tweet.

Police say they are investigating the deadly shooting, which took place in the Eau Claire neighborhood near the Lutheran Theological Seminary.

Information is limited as the investigation is ongoing, according to the police.
