Columbia police seize over 2,000 ecstasy pills in narcotics investigation

Columbia police have charged three individuals as a result of a narcotics investigation earlier this month that resulted in the seizure of thousands of ecstasy pills from a Craven Street residence.

Columbia police officials said officers investigating possible drug activity at a residence located in the 1700 block of Craven Street near Farrow Road. When officers investigated the home they found more than 2,100 ecstasy pills, marijuana and a handgun.

Nigel Faison, 35, has been charged with trafficking MDMA or ecstasy, possession with intent to distribute MDMA or ecstasy in close proximity to a park and unlawful carrying of a firearm by a person convicted of a violent offense, officials said.

Zoe Albert, 25, who was also at the home was taken into custody for an outstanding bench warrant for malicious injury to property, and Takita Jefferson was cited for possession of marijuana, officials said.

Both Faison and Albert were transported to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention center where they are being held.
