Traffic Update: Crash blocks all lanes westbound on I-26

Traffic is nearly at a standstill on the westbound lane of the I-26 near exit 91, just outside of Chapin.

One lane on I-26 reopened around 9 a.m. after a crash near the 90.5 mile marker stopped westbound traffic, according to the South Carolina Department of Transportation.

WISTV has reported that crews are at the scene working to get traffic moving. Officials are recommending that commuters use an alternate route.

On its Twitter page, the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department has urged drives to be cautious due to rainy weather conditions Friday morning.
