A 73-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a robbery in Aiken, according to a news release from the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office.

On July 7, a gunman entered Security Federal Bank on Canal Street. He wielded a gun and demanded money from employees. According to the sheriff’s office, witnesses saw the gunman drive away in a light gold Ford Explorer.

Lucky Wallis Turner of Graniteville was arrested Monday morning at his home in the 700 block of Leitner Street without incident, the sheriff’s office said.

Investigators want to charge Turner with four counts of kidnapping, robbery and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

The sheriff’s office said Turner was taken to the Aiken County Detention Center and will be held there, pending arrest warrants.
