Inmate reports being raped by two others at Richland County jail

The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a sexual assault at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.

A detainee was brought to the hospital on Sunday for treatment and reported being sexually assaulted on Sept. 1 by two other inmates, according to the sheriff’s department.

This is an ongoing investigation.
