Lexington County deputies charge two in home burglaries
Lexington County Sheriff’s Department officials said after receiving help from the public, sheriff’s deputies were able to charge two individuals involved in two home burglaries.
Sheriff Jay Koon said Stephen George Wilson Jr., 40, has been charged with first-degree burglary after stealing a television from a home in the 1100 block of Redmond Road near Boiling Springs Road. Wilson’s partner 44-year-old Michelle McLinden Collins was also charged with accessory to burglary.
Koon said the couple’s arrest came after pictures collected from home surveillance footage at the Redmond Road burglary were released to the public. Initial reports said the couple was often seen by witnesses driving around burglary scenes in a metallic blue vehicle.
Wilson and Collins were arrested last week in connection to another burglary in the 200 block of Meadowfield Road near Sunny Drive, Koon said. Wilson have also charged Wilson with first-degree burglary in connection with burglary at a residence in the 200 block of Wild Meadows Drive off Fish Hatchery Road.
