The Richland County Sheriff’s Department said it’s investigating after several Columbia-area residents reported finding antisemitic propaganda was left at their homes.

On Tuesday morning, deputies responded to multiple locations within Lake Carolina flyers were left in driveways, the sheriff’s department said in a news release.

The pamphlets, which contained antisemitic propaganda with messages sharing prejudices against Jewish people, were found in several Lake Carolina neighborhoods, according to the release.

Specific information about what was written and/or pictured on the flyers was not available.

There was no word who distributed the flyers, or if they were left at specifically targeted homes, but the sheriff’s department said it is continuing to investigate the incidents.

Anyone with information about the flyers is asked to call the sheriff’s department at 803-576-3000, CrimeStoppers at 888-CRIME-SC or submit an online tip.
