Richland County deputies seeking individual involved in armed robbery
The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a individual involved in an armed robbery on July 15.
Sheriff Leon Lott said an individual entered a Dollar General located at 500 Main Street in Eastover and brandished a handgun demanding money. Before the employees were able to give the individual the money, he fired his handgun striking a display inside of the store.
Lott said the individual then stole the cash and fled the area. One victim inside of the store suffered minor injuries from shattered glass, but declined medical treatment.
The store’s video surveillance footage reveals the individual was wearing a white long-sleeved t-shirt, blue jeans and his face was covered with a light blue shirt. The individual is described as standing around 5-feet 10-inches tall.
Anyone with information regarding the identity of the individual is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 1 (888)-CRIME-SC.
