Third suspect sought in Lexington County home invasion, robbery

Investigators with the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department are asking for the community’s help in identifying a suspect connected to a home invasion in the town of Gaston.

The suspect along with two others entered a home in the 500 block of Fallaw Road during the early morning hours on July 12, department spokesman Adam Myrick said in a statement released Wednesday. The three then allegedly robbed multiple people of their money, cell phones and firearms.

Two of the suspects have been arrested on multiple charges related to the incident, Myrick said.

Gerald Howell, 22, of Swansea, was charged with five counts of armed robbery, five counts of kidnapping, one count of first degree burglary and one count of possession of a weapon during a violent crime, according to arrest warrants. Shaquille Robinson, 21, also of Swansea, was charged with five counts of armed robbery, five counts of kidnapping and one count of first degree burglary.

Anyone with information about the third suspect is asked to call the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department at (803) 785-8230 or Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
