Man was stabbed at gas station in Columbia, South Carolina police say

A man was hospitalized Sunday after being stabbed at a gas station in South Carolina, according to the Columbia Police Department.

The attack happened at about 9:30 a.m. at the Petro Gas Shopping Center in the 2100 block of Bluff Road, police said. That’s near the intersection with Beltline Boulevard and Exit 5 on Interstate 77.

Further information on the victim’s condition was not available.

No other injuries were reported.

There was no word about a motive for the attack, or if the victim and suspect knew each other prior to the stabbing.

No arrests have been reported by police who are continuing to investigate the stabbing.
