Vance man arrested on sex crimes involving minors

State Law Enforcement Division investigators arrested a Vance man accused of eight sexual exploitation of minors charges.

Jahmarius Davis, 20, is charged with two counts each of criminal solicitation of a minor, first-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and dissemination of obscene material to a person under age 18. The case will be prosecuted by the S.C. Attorney General's office.

Davis developed online relationships with two minors in Tennessee, spokesman J. Mark Powell said. Davis engaged in sexually explicit conversations with the minors, which included sexually explicit photos.

Davis was arrested on Thursday with help from the Oakland, Tennessee Police Department. Computer-related media was seized at the arrest.
