Three wounded in Orangeburg shooting
A 28-year-old man was charged with three counts of attempted murder after a shooting that took place over the weekend that left three wounded after a confrontation, Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Richard Walker said.
The initial call was received around 7:40 p.m. when Orangeburg County Sheriff’s deputies were notified that shots had been fired at a residence about four miles west of Santee on Old Humber Six Highway.
Two victims were taken by helicopter to a hospital after being shot by Keon Rivers, of Vance, Walker reported.
A third victim was driven in a personal vehicle to a hospital where he was treated for a gunshot wound to the hand.
The condition of the victims is unknown at this time, and the cause of the violent confrontation is still under investigation.
