A man and a 14-year-old were arrested and charged with attempted murder after the pair fired multiple shots into an occupied vehicle, according to the Oconee County Sheriff’s Department.

Daniel Jordan Perry, 20, of Seneca, and the juvenile were each charged Thursday with two counts of attempted murder and one count of possession of a weapon during a violent crime and one count of discharging a weapon into a vehicle while occupied, a news release said.

Deputies say that on March 6, Perry and the 14-year-old fired a series of shots from a semi-automatic handgun into a 2002 Cadillac Escalade with the intent of killing two people inside the vehicle.

The condition of the people who were inside the vehicle is unknown.

The incident occurred on Hwy. 28 near Mustang Drive in West Union, according to an arrest warrant.

Perry was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center, while the juvenile was transported to the Department of Juvenile Justice in Columbia.
