Two more teens arrested in Blythewood barrage of gunfire that injured 2

Two additional teens have been arrested in a shooting earlier this month at a high school prom after-party in Blythewood, the Richland County Sheriff’s Department said.

Sadrien Devoe, 18, and Tyreek Shealy, 19, were arrested in the barrage of gunfire that broke out around 2:30 a.m. on April 5. Both suspects were charged with breach of peace of a high and aggravated nature.

Devoe was arrested on April 22 after deputies executed a search warrant on his vehicle, which had been identified in the shooting. Following the search, Devoe was also charged with simple possession of marijuana, according to a news release.

The following day, the sheriff department’s fugitive task force arrested Shealy at his home, a news release said.

Both suspects were transported to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center where they remained on Wednesday, April 24, according to a news release.

With the capture of Devoe and Shealy, five people have been charged in the Blythewood shooting, where more than 60 shots were fired during a “pop-up” after party that attracted 200 young people, Lott told reporters on April 11.

Two people were hit amid the barrage of bullets, which sent partygoers running through a parking lot, a video released by the sheriff’s department shows.

Two 18-year-old high school students were arrested April 10 in connection with the shooting, including Darrell Birch and Nahjere Suber, who both were charged with breach of peace of a high and aggravated nature.

Additionally, on April 17, Jamari Nelson, 23, was arrested at his residence and charged with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
