Man shot at gas station in Columbia, South Carolina police say
An investigation is underway after a man was shot at a gas station in South Carolina, according to the Columbia Police Department.
At about 7 p.m. Tuesday, a man was shot in the lower body, police said in a news release.
The shooting happened at the Mobil gas station/convenience store in the 5900 block of North Main Street, according to the release. That’s in an area of Columbia between Farrow Road and Fairfield Road.
Police said that the victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries, but further information on his condition was not available.
No other injuries were reported.
There was no word about a shooter or shooters, or anyone else involved in the gunfire. Information about a possible motive for the shooting was not available.
No arrests have been reported, but the shooting continues to be investigated by police, who have collected ballistic evidence.
