A man wanted by the Atlanta Police Department for assault may be a student at the University of South Carolina. Anyone with information may be eligible for a cash reward.

Just before 12:30 a.m. on Sept. 1, officers were called to Park Tavern, a sports bar near downtown Atlanta at 500 10th Street, for a dispute involving injuries, according to a news release. A 20-year-old man was unconscious and had injuries to his head and face, officials said, but was breathing. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

An initial investigation found that the man had a verbal altercation with another man that escalated to a physical assault.

Investigators with the Atlanta Police Department’s Aggravated Assault Unit are requesting the public’s assistance with information about the suspect, who officials say may attend USC.
