A 23-year-old man has been charged in connection to a 2023 murder in Lexington County.

Roosevelt Erik Garway Jr., 23, is charged with accessory before the fact of murder and criminal conspiracy, according to the Lexington County Sheriff’s Office.

Garway assisted Allon Adams and Cady Keener before they fatally shot Tony Etheredge Jr. in December 2023, the sheriff’s office said.

Garway is being held in the Lexington County Detention Center. In 2022, Garway was sentenced to two years probation for criminal conspiracy, according to court records.

Adams and Keener shot Etheredge while trying to rob him on Parrish Road, Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said.

The sheriff’s office added Adams and Keener discarded Etheredge’s body in Black Creek, where it was recovered in February 2024. Adams and Keener were arrested in 2024 and are awaiting trial.
